Destiny Will Outsell Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, 10-15 Million Copies Predicted – Analyst

Cowen and Company shares its thoughts on titles it expects to sell well.

Cowen and Company analyst Doug Creutz recently revealed (via Venture Beat) that Bungie’s Destiny is expected to sell 10 to 15 million copies and earn $600 to $900 million revenue in the process. This is based off a system called Cowen’s Ordometer which takes into account US pre-orders and looks at the results at launch. The analysis starts from E3 week till year end but only concerns retail copies. That too on consoles.

Interestingly, the highest Ordometer score in the past four years has been given to Destiny, indicating that it will do better numbers than Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. The latter interestingly has pre-order numbers comparable to Black Ops 2.

It bears mentioning that even Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Assassin’s Creed Unity have higher Ordometer scores than Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Does that mean they’ll outsell Advanced Warfare at launch especially with Halo: The MC Collection only out on platform this November? We’ll find out at launch.
