The open world first person shooter won't be making sacrifices to hit the golden standard.

In between the buzz for Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Ubisoft’s Far Cry 4 has slowly but surely built up a strong well of support. Much of that could be attributed to the game itself which is looking amazing at this stage.

However, is director Alex Hutchinson worried at all about the competition? Responding to a fan on Twitter about the next Halo and COD releasing before Far Cry 4, he stated that, “All three of those games (us included) have released alongside each other before and we’ve all done fine.”

Hutchinson also justified the reason for Far Cry 4 not having a 1080p resolution and 60 FPS frame rate. “We’d have to simplify the art, have less people or events on screen or make other sacrifices.” Which is more or less the same reason that Ubisoft Montreal provided for Assassin’s Creed: Unity’s 900p/30 FPS standard.

Far Cry 4 will be out on November 18th for Europe and North America. Are you looking forward to it even with Call of Duty and Halo out that month? Let us know below.
