Things have been slightly quiet for Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake since E3 2019. Granted, we’ve been seeing concept art and how it’s translated into the finished game (including this recreation of the original game’s legendary key art). But what about a new trailer? It seems our wish will be granted at the Tokyo Game Show, which starts on September 12th.

Director Tetsuya Nomura took to Twitter to confirm that a new trailer for the game will be unveiled during this week’s show. Nomura previously confirmed that Shinra characters would also be revealed so it’s safe to assume that they’ll be in the trailer. Gameplay-wise, we’ll have to wait and see if there are any more surprises.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is out on March 3rd, 2020 for PS4. It’s the first part in a series of games and though set entirely in Midgar, it won’t be a one-for-one copy, as per producer Yoshinori Kitase. Expect tons of additional content, especially since the game will fill two Blu-ray discs.
