EA has announced its 2026 line-up of American football games, EA Sports College Football 26 and Madden NFL 26, will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Madden NFL 26 will also launch for PC through Steam, Epic Games Store and the EA app. This will be the first year where both games skip launching for Xbox One and PS4.
EA Sports College Football 26 is slated for release on July 10, while Madden NFL 26 is set for a slightly later release on August 14. Both titles also have Deluxe Edition releases for pre-order, granting 3 days of advanced access.
The release dates for Madden NFL 26 and EA Sports College Football 26 were announced with a new trailer that you can check out below. Along with the release dates, the trailer also gave us brief glimpses of what the titles will look like in terms of photorealism on the field and a behind-the-scenes look at its various game modes.
Fans that pre-order Madden NFL 26‘s Deluxe Edition will get 4,600 Madden Points, a Season 1 Elite Player item, Cover Athlete Elite Player item, Superstar Legendary XP Boost, Franchise Coach ability points, and Player card exclusive item, alongside the three days of early access before its August 14 release.
Getting the Deluxe Edition for EA Sports College Football 26, on the other hand, will get you 4,600 College Football Points, Top Prospect Ultimate Team Pack, All Hands Ultimate Team Pack, Dynasty Coach Points, and Road to Glory Skill Points, alongside the three days of early access before its July 10 release.
Along with the Deluxe Edition, pre-orders for the standard editions of both titles are also available. Priced at $69.99 each, pre-ordering the games also comes with bonuses. Madden NFL 26 will reward pre-orders with Cover Athlete Elite MUT Player Item, Superstar Legendary XP Boost, and Franchise Coach Ability Points.
Pre-ordering the standard edition of EA Sports College Football 26 will reward players with the CUT All Hands Pack, Dynasty Coach Points, and Road to Glory Skill Points.
Both games are also available in the MVP Bundle. Through this, players will get access to both games and all of the Deluxe Edition goodies, including early access. The MVP Bundle is available digitally for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S at $149.99. Players with an EA Play subscription can grab the bundle at a 10 percent discount, bringing its price down to $134.99.
Because EA Sports College Football 26 isn’t coming to PC, the MVP Bundle is exclusive to the console releases of both games.
While Madden NFL has been a long-running franchise for EA, College Football was long dormant, only returning with last year’s EA Sports College Football 25. The game was an incredibly successful one, getting more than 2.8 million players before its worldwide launch alone thanks to early access granted by the Deluxe Edition. Eventually, reports from back in December revealed that it had become the all-time best-selling sports game in US history.
