The first game in the ambitious set of games dubbed The Dark Pictures Anthology, Man of Medan, is just about a week away. The game will feature an improved choice system that is designed to allow multiple different playthroughs with very different outcomes to each one. Now we get a brief new trailer to reintroduce us to the game through the game’s Curator.

The Curator is a character who is seemingly going to act as the narrator to introduce the games, presumably to the entire series. Here he reintroduces us to Man of Medan, mixed in with some gameplay we’ve seen and a few tidbits of new stuff. The key thing is getting us up to date on the game’s main setting, a haunted ship that will be part of the game’s narrative.

Man of Medan will launch August 30th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. For 15 things you definitely need to be up to speed on, take a look through here and get a look at the game’s innovative multiplayer.
