Of the many big releases in the coming months, Build A Rocket Boy’s MindsEye is arguably one of the more mysterious. Despite launching next month, there’s still been very little gameplay.
That recently changed when a streamer showcased and reacted to footage which wasn’t to be shared publicly (as spotted by Reddit). It quickly highlighted the cover-based third-person shooting and driving. The former is typical, with protagonist Jacob Diaz swapping weapons and blowing up enemy vehicles.
The latter offers a look at the roads and buildings of Redrock City with decent-looking lighting, shadows and reflections. It also showcases a conversation between Jacob and Claudia, who stole his data (followed by a quip about how he’s on social media).
MindsEye launches on June 10th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, so it may not be long before official gameplay is released. It’s about 15 hours long and aims to provide a “meaningful, well-crafted story.” Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
